【摘要】:1.1Astandardprocedureforthethree-omegamethodisproposedformeasuringthethermalconductivityofathin,electricallyinsulatingfilm,onasubstratehavingathermalconductivitysignificantlygreaterthanthethermalconductivityofthefilm.Thismethodisapplicabletoafilmonasiliconsubstratewiththefollowingcharacteristics:a)thefilmiselectricallyinsulating;b)thefilmhasathermalconductivitythatislessthanonetenththethermalconductivityofsilicon;c)thefilmisuniforminthicknessandthethicknessliesintherange0,25μmto1μm;d)themaximumdimensionsofthefilmarelimitedbythesizesofthepreparationandmeasurementapparatus;e)theminimumdimensionsofthefilmarelimitedbytheminimumsizeofthecircuitelementthatcanbeplacedonthefilmsurface.NOTEAspecimenapproximately15mmby25mmisofanappropriatesizealthoughspecimensassmallas10mm×10mmareusable.1.2Themethodisdirectlyapplicabletofilmsofsilicondioxideonsiliconwafersubstrates.1.3Themethodmaybeapplicabletoinsulatingfilmsonotherhigh-thermalconductivitysubstratesprovidedthattheparametersofthesubstratematerialaresubstitutedfortheparametersofsiliconusedinthismethodandtheassociatedcomputerprogram.1.4Themethodisapplicabletomeasurementsnearroomtemperature.

【摘要】:Wetfilmthicknessmeasurementsofcoatingsappliedonarticlescanbeveryhelpfulincontrollingthethicknessofthefinaldrycoating,althoughinsomespecificationsthewetfilmthicknessisspecified.Mostprotectiveandhighperformancecoatingsareappliedtomeetarequirementorspecificationfordryfilmthicknessforeachcoatorforthecompletedcoatingsystem,orforboth.Thereisadirectrelationshipbetweendryfilmthicknessandwetfilmthickness.Thewetfilm/dryfilmratioisdeterminedbythevolumeofvolatilesinthecoatingasapplied,includingpermittedthinning.Withsomeflatcoatingsthedryfilmthicknessishigherthanthatcalculatedfromthewetfilmthickness.Consequently,theresultsfromthenotchgagearenottobeusedtoverifythenonvolatilecontentofacoating.Measurementofwetfilmthicknessatthetimeofapplicationismostappropriateasitpermitscorrectionandadjustmentofthefilmbytheapplicatoratthetimeofapplication.Correctionofthefilmafterithasdriedorchemicallycuredrequirescostlyextralabortime,mayleadtocontaminationofthefilm,andmayintroduceproblemsofadhesionandintegrityofthecoatingsystem.TheproceduresusingnotchedgagesdonotprovideasaccurateorsensitivemeasurementsofwetfilmthicknessasdotheInterchemicalandPfundgagesdescribedinTestMethodsD1212.Notchgagesmay,however,beusedonnonuniformsurfaces,likeconcreteblock,thataretooroughtousetheInterchemicalandPfundgages.Alsonotchedgagescanbeveryusefulintheshopandfieldfordeterminingtheapproximatethicknessofwetfilmsovercommercialarticleswheresize(s)andshape(s)arenotsuitableformeasurementsbyothertypesofgages.Examplesofsuchitemsareellipses,thinedges,andcorners.Anoperatorexperiencedintheuseofanotchedgagecanmonitorthecoatingapplicationwellenoughtoensuretheminimumrequiredfilmthicknesswillbeobtained.Applicationlosses,suchasoverspray,lossontransfer,andcoatingresidueinapplicationequipment,areasignificantunmeasurablepartofthecoatingusedonajobandarenotaccountedforbymeasurementofwetfilmthickness.1.1Thispracticedescribestheuseofthinrigidmetalnotchedgages,alsocalledsteporcombgages,inthemeasurementofwetfilmthicknessoforganiccoatings,suchaspaint,varnish,andlacquer.1.2Notchedgagemeasurementsareneitheraccuratenorsensitive,buttheyareusefulindeterminingapproximatewetfilmthicknessofcoatingsonarticleswheresize(s)andshape(s)prohibittheuseofthemoreprecisemethodsgiveninTestMethodsD1212.1.3Thispracticeisdividedintothefollowingtwoprocedures:1.3.1ProcedureA-Asquareorrectangularrigidmetalgagewithnotchedsidesisusedtomeasurewetfilmthicknessesrangingfrom3to2000m(0.5to80mils1).Suchagageisapplicabletocoatingsonflatsubstratesandtocoatingsonarticlesofvarioussizesandcomplexshapeswhereitispossibletogettheendtabsofthegagetorestinthesameplaneonthesubstrate.1.3.2ProcedureB-Acircularthinrigidmetalnotchedgageisusedtomeasurewetfilmthicknessesrangingfrom25to2500m(1to100mils).Suchagageisapplicabletocoatingsonflatsubstratesandtocoatingsonobjectsofvarioussizesandcomplexshapes.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitations......
